ABOUT LINNÉA SJÖSVÄRD
Swedish Coloratura Soprano Linnéa Sjösvärd made her international debut in Denmark at Den Jyske opera, summer 2021 as Loulou and Showgirl in the newly written operetta Inkognito Royal by Karsten Fundal. She jumped in as Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflöte at Stadsteatern in Gothenburg right before the outbreak covid-19, and joined Die Zauberflöte for the second time as Pamina now at Skånska Operan 2022. She debuted at Norrlandsoperan earlier the year of 2019 as Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel by E. Humperdinck.
Before that she performed at Läckö Castle, summer 2018 as Janthe in Der Vampyr by H. Marschner, in 2017 she performed the lead role at Gothenburg Opera House as Queen in Gone Fishing by R. Taylor, and were soprano soloist in Carmina Burana at Gothenburg Concert Hall. In fall 2016 she debuted at the Royal Castle in Stockholm as Blonde in Die Entführung aus dem Serail by W.A. Mozart.
During her studies she has also performed roles such as Gilda in Rigoletto, Olympia in Les Contes d'Hoffmann, Morgana in Alcina and Gretel in Hänsel und Gretel amongst others.
Outside the opera stage, she has performed several concerts from early baroque to modern pieces.
Linnéa studied the Opera Bachelor Program at the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg.
